All about the needs of boys

A specialist workshop designed to inform and guide EYFS and KS1 practitioners in achieving their vision for learning.

The gender gap is a much-discussed topic across the education sector. Early years practitioners often come across the same problems; with boys not appearing to fully engage in an adult-led activities or reluctant to use all experiences provided to support their learning. It is critical that we plan meaningful and challenging experiences that connect with all children’s passions and spark their imaginations.

This course will explore theories behind young children’s development and how these relate specifically to boys. Throughout the day participants will consider how we can address these issues in imaginative and practical ways.

Benefits

  • A deeper understanding of boys learning in the EYFS and KS1
  • Strategies and tools to help you evaluate your provision
  • Case studies examples of how changes can have measurable impact
