In collaboration with Nottingham Trent University (NTU), the Trent Valley Teaching School Alliance is offering students of maths or physics an opportunity to apply for a paid teaching internship.
This four week programme, currently open to Nottingham Trent students in their second year of a maths or physics degree or the third year of an integrated maths or physics masters, will appeal to those considering a career in teaching.
Commencing on the 12 June 2017, the programme offers a route to gaining experience and discovering if teaching is the right choice for them, with places available at Tuxford Academy and the National Church of England Academy.
Interns will have the opportunity to observe outstanding teachers, jointly plan and deliver lessons, devise projects to support students learning, and take part in assessment, tutor time and extra-curricular activities. The interns will also be offered support after the programme to help them decide on their career path – whether that’s into teaching or not.
Interns will be paid £300 a week, for a four week period. NTU students are able to find out more about the application process and apply online at FutureHub. The application deadline 13 March 2017.
